Admissions Specialist – Harmony Recovery
Harmony Recovery, an AllHealth Network Partner, is currently seeking a Part-Time Admissions Specialist to join our team. We are looking for a compassionate, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced behavioral health environment and is passionate about helping individuals begin their recovery journey.
As a member of the Harmony Recovery team, you will play a critical role in ensuring a welcoming, efficient, and supportive admission experience for clients, families, referral sources, and community partners.
Part-Time
Schedule based on program needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
$23.00 - $25.00 per hour(adjust as needed)
The Admissions Specialist serves as the first point of contact for prospective clients and referral sources. This position is responsible for coordinating admissions, conducting pre-screening activities, verifying benefits, gathering required documentation, and ensuring a seamless admission process for individuals seeking treatment services.
- Respond to admission inquiries from clients, families, healthcare providers, and referral partners.
- Conduct initial phone screenings and collect demographic, clinical, and insurance information.
- Coordinate admissions and facilitate client intake processes.
- Verify insurance benefits and obtain necessary authorizations when applicable.
- Communicate with referral sources regarding admission status and bed availability.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record.
- Collaborate closely with clinical, nursing, medical, and operations teams to ensure smooth transitions into services.
- Support census goals through timely follow-up and customer service excellence.
- Provide a welcoming and professional experience for clients and families.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and organizational confidentiality requirements.
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and continuous quality improvement activities.
- Complete all required organizational training and compliance requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Health, Human Services, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum one year of admissions, intake, customer service, healthcare registration, or behavioral health experience preferred.
- Experience working with insurance verification and prior authorizations preferred.
- Behavioral health, substance use treatment, or healthcare experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with electronic health records and Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of behavioral health and substance use treatment services preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
