Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced GUNITE BATCH TRUCK DRIVER to join our team. In this vital role, you will operate specialized commercial vehicle with a volumetric mixer to deliver and dispense dry and wet shot concrete mix accurately and efficiently on job sites. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation and gunite and/or shotcrete application, and site logistics will ensure smooth project progress and high-quality results.
Duties
- Safely operate and maneuver a volumetric batch truck, ensuring precise delivery of gunite or shotcrete mix to various construction sites
- Coordinate with site supervisors and crew members to determine delivery schedules and placement locations
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the commercial vehicle, including checking mechanical systems and safety features
- Assist with loading and unloading materials using loaders or excavators when necessary
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and communication records for each batch dispatched
- Follow all safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation, material handling, and site regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, or volumetric mixers
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record suitable for operating a concrete batch truck
- Mechanical knowledge to perform routine vehicle inspections and minor maintenance tasks
- Familiarity with construction site safety standards and procedures
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety and quality
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and site managers
- Prior experience with concrete pumping, finishing, or related construction activities is highly desirable
Pay: $196.00 - $1,176.00 per day
