In this role, you’ll help guests gear up for their perfect day at the shore—whether they’re shopping for essentials, renting kayaks or a campsite. Rental/Retail Associate Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide friendly customer service
- Assist guests with kayak and other beach equipment rentals
- Assist guest checking in/out of campground
- Accurately total, process and collect payments from guests to include, but not limited to, using the point of sale system, handling money, processing credit and debit cards and making change
- Restock and maintain retail displays or rental equipment
- Participate in closing, opening procedures
- Keep retail and/or rental storage space clean and organized
- Demonstrate knowledge of rentals, park and safety information
Position Requirements:
- Excellent customer service and people skills
- Must be computer proficient
- Must be able to work a variety of day, night, weekend, holiday shifts
- Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Majority of shift will be spent on feet, up to 8 hours per day
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally. Position involves frequent bending, twisting, lifting and squatting.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience: Two (2) years retail/rental experience preferred
