Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution required
- Active or eligible state licensure for Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working with pediatric and/or school-aged individuals in educational settings is a plus
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and effectively participate in a multidisciplinary team
- For SLPAs, appropriate school-based credentialing and supervision requirements must be met
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for students presenting with speech and language challenges
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings
- Implement therapy sessions tailored to students’ needs, fostering measurable progress toward communication goals
- Maintain meticulous documentation of sessions and student progress
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize outcomes
- Educate and involve families in the therapeutic process, supporting carryover to home environments
