Overview
Join Into the Spotlight Talkshow as a Floor Director Intern and gain hands-on experience in live television-style production and studio operations. This internship is designed for individuals interested in media, broadcasting, film, and live production environments.
You will work directly with the production team to support on-set coordination, timing, and communication between the control room, crew, and talent during filming.
This is a fast-paced, on-site learning opportunity ideal for someone looking to build real-world experience in TV production and entertainment media.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Floor Director and production team during studio and on-location shoots
- Communicate cues from the director/control room to hosts and guests
- Help manage timing and flow of show segments
- Support blocking, staging, and set preparation
- Observe and assist in coordinating talent during filming
- Ensure smooth transitions between segments and production cues
- Maintain organization and professionalism on set
- Learn and follow production rundown and live show structure
Requirements
- Interest in television production, film, or live media
- Strong communication skills and ability to take direction
- Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stay focused during live or recorded production
- Must be able to work on-site in Orlando, FL during scheduled shoots
Preferred
- Media, film, broadcasting, or communications students
- Basic understanding of production sets or studio environments
- Experience in school productions, events, or internships (a plus but not required)
Compensation
- Unpaid or stipend-based internship (based on production schedule and experience)
