The Rehabilitation Institute of Washington has an opening for a full-time Medical Assistant.
We are an independent multi-specialty clinic with a focus on work injury rehabilitation. The Medical Assistant supports our team of medical professionals, provides assistance to patients, and maintains communication with external stakeholders, referral sources, claims managers, and other care providers.
This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong organizational abilities. The MA will perform duties including:
- rooming patients and taking vitals (training provided, if needed)
- assisting with routine forms, screening and referrals
- tracking and managing patient care coordination tasks
- scheduling routine follow-up appointments
- preparing and tabbing medical records
- managing records, both paper and electronic
Applicant should have experience with electronic medical record systems, solid facility with Microsoft Office, and great telephone and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail and ability to follow through on tasks independently a must.
Minimum of one year office experience in a medical setting is required. On the job training can be provided. Certified Medical Assistants and CNAs are encouraged to apply.
