Overview:
The primary responsibility of this position entails the installation, construction, maintenance and operation of a variety of park events and attractions. Duties for this position also include providing knowledgeable hands-on theatrical techniques with comprehensive skills in special effects.
Salary Details: $26.86 / hr
Responsibilities:
- Lead small groups in the construction and installation of temporary and permanent pneumatic and electrical infrastructures in a variety of venues.

Assemble advanced mechanical special effect structures adhering to blueprints.

Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair special effects at an advanced level for events and regular park shows.

Translate plans and designers' concepts into practical materials and existing mechanical components (bearings, motors, air cylinders, etc.).

Design, layout, and lead the fabrication of moving structures using pneumatic and electrical components.

Test and perfect mechanical movements for durability and realism.

Design and construct animation control systems (timers, PLCs, relays, etc.).

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma / GED required.

Associate's degree / vocational or technical school degree, emphasis in Theatrical Design/visual Display preferred.

At least 1-2 years of prior, relevant work experience preferred.

User of basic hand tools and power tools, glues and adhesives. Floral design helpful. Ability to sketch and convey design concepts. Basic Scenic painting skills preferred.

Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holiday based on business needs.
