About the Role
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our pediatric practice both by phone and in person. This role helps ensure the clinic runs smoothly by welcoming patients, managing front desk documentation, supporting patient registration, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating with clinical staff to promote quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
· Welcome patients and visitors in a professional, courteous manner.
· Register patients according to established clinic protocols and assist with required forms and documentation.
· Maintain accurate patient information, records, and front desk documentation.
· Monitor patient flow and notify nursing staff of patients in distress or patients needing clinical assessment.
· Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, transfer calls, take messages, and check voicemail as needed.
· Collect payments, prepare deposit slips, and report statistics as required.
· Respond to requests for information while protecting patient privacy and confidentiality.
· Maintain office supplies, charts, forms, and a clean, organized reception area.
· Support daily operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes.
· Supervise and train front desk volunteers as assigned.
· If bilingual, assist with translation for patients as needed.
· Complete other clerical duties and daily tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Knowledge of medical terminology, office procedures, and general clerical practices preferred.
· Previous experience in a medical office, clinic, or patient-facing administrative role is helpful.
· Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
· Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work accurately in a busy clinic environment.
· Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical standards.
· Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
