Job Overview
The MIG Welder / Fabrication Finisher will work throughout our production facility performing welding, grinding, finishing, assembly, and quality control tasks. This position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to adapt to changing production priorities.
The ideal candidate takes pride in producing clean, consistent work and understands that every operation contributes to the final quality of the product.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on steel components and assemblies.
- Read and interpret shop drawings and work instructions.
- Weld parts to company quality standards.
- Grind, sand, deburr, and finish welded assemblies.
- Prepare products for powder coating, paint, or shipment.
- Inspect finished products for quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Assist with assembly and fabrication tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Operate hand tools, grinders, saws, and other fabrication equipment safely.
- Work closely with production staff to meet scheduling requirements.
- Support multiple departments as production demands change.
Qualifications
Required
- Previous MIG welding experience.
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
- Ability to lift and handle fabrication materials safely.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Ability to read fabrication drawings.
- Experience with tube fabrication or structural welding.
- Forklift experience.
- Familiarity with quality control and inspection processes.
