Salary Range: $22.9775 - $29.2911/hour. Salary reflects Step 1 and Step 6 of a 7-step pay scale. Salary at hiring will be dependent upon the applicant's education, experience, and training.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Job Summary:
Under general supervision, to perform a variety of duties involved in the installation, maintenance, testing, repair, and replacement of water meters and auxiliary equipment; and to provide information and assistance to the public.
Scope of Responsibility:
Make non-routine choices within established precedent, considering objectives, under limited supervision, where positive and negative impact directly or indirectly affects the function and output of the work unit or team, with limited financial impact. Perform intermediate troubleshooting or analysis; problems require interpretation of data using generally prescribed procedures. Impacts immediate work areas – failures and successes are readily isolated and have limited financial impact. Requires frequent interaction to provide basic information and/or occasional interaction requiring detailed procedural explanations or technical responses, where relationships involve cooperation within the overall organization and/or directly interfacing with individual customers or vendors.
Work is primarily outside in the elements. Work requires intermittent heavy physical effort of moving over 60 pounds. Work requires high attention to detail or deadlines between 15% and 45% of the time. Exposure is occasional (between 15% and 45% of time) to multiple disagreeable elements, none of which are of greater than moderate intensity. Requires frequent driving.
