Job Summary
Are you an energetic leader, expert event planner, or community builder with a passion for bringing people together? We are seeking a high-energy Lifestyle Director to spearhead the social heartbeat of our premier, multigenerational resort community.
In this role, you will transition your experience in ministry, coaching, youth leadership, or recreation into a professional hospitality environment. You will be responsible for creating a vibrant, inclusive culture by designing and executing a diverse calendar of events, tournaments, youth activities, and multigenerational programs that turn neighbors into family.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Event Architecture & Execution: Plan, promote, and execute large-scale social events, including family festivals, holiday celebrations, sports leagues/tournaments, and summer youth camps.
- Multigenerational Programming: Develop unique experiences that bridge generational gaps—ensuring engaging activities for children and teens while simultaneously cultivating social and wellness clubs for adults and seniors.
- Volunteer Mobilization: Recruit, train, and guide resident committees and volunteer groups to help lead community clubs and support major events.
- Communications & Hype: Act as the "voice of the community." Author the monthly community newsletter, manage resident app updates, and create high-energy social media content to drive maximum participation.
- Vendor & Budget Management: Source, negotiate with, and supervise third-party vendors (entertainers, instructors, caterers). Manage the annual lifestyle programming budget efficiently.
- Amenity Oversight: Ensure clubhouse spaces, sports courts, and recreational spaces are safe, welcoming, and properly prepared for daily resident use.
Qualifications & Transferable Skills
- Experience: 3–5 years of proven experience leading large groups, orchestrating high-turnout events, or directing programs. Backgrounds in Youth Ministry, Athletic Coaching, Camp Directing, Parks & Recreation, or Hospitality are highly preferred.
- People Skills: Exceptional public speaking ability with a natural talent for commanding a crowd and welcoming newcomers.
- Logistics & Organization: Strong organizational skills; comfortable managing digital calendars, software platforms (e.g., Canva, Microsoft Office), and balancing multiple project timelines.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, to align with community events.
- Certifications: CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
