Position Title: Production Leader

Hourly wage: $15 ~ $18.5 (Depending on Qualification and Experience)
Position Summary
We are seeking experienced Production Leaders to oversee daily manufacturing operations in an automotive production environment. This position is responsible for managing production team members, monitoring process conditions, achieving productivity targets, supporting quality improvement activities, and maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient workplace.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supervising employees in an automotive manufacturing or related industrial production setting and must be able to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Floor Operations Management
- Supervise and manage production team members on the manufacturing floor.
- Monitor daily production activities to ensure production targets, schedules, UPH performance, and production efficiency goals are met.
- Check the preparation status of raw and subsidiary materials for each line and confirm readiness before production starts.
- Manage manpower assignment and line operations for each piece of equipment or production line.
- Monitor daily inventory of finished or in-process products by process and report as needed.
2. Process and Equipment Management
- Monitor and manage process working conditions and equipment operating status to ensure stable production.
- Manage daily equipment inspection activities and report equipment issues as needed.
- Perform initial troubleshooting and support basic problem-solving for minor equipment issues.
- When urgent operational needs arise, including manpower shortages, production delays, or inventory shortages, support production directly by working on the production line as needed.
3. Quality Control and Improvement Activities
- Inspect first-piece, in-process, and final products for each process to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Support process quality improvement activities and help reduce defects and rework.
- Support continuous improvement activities related to safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
4. Employee Training and Policy Compliance
- Train and coach new employees on work procedures, safety rules, quality standards, and production expectations.
- Ensure employees follow company policies, work instructions, safety requirements, and PPE rules.
- Monitor and manage employee compliance with company rules, including work attire, break times, and workplace conduct.
5. Communication and Cross-Functional Coordination
- Report production status, manpower needs, quality issues, and equipment concerns to management.
- Coordinate with related departments, including Quality, Maintenance, Logistics, and Production Planning, to support smooth production operations.
- Maintain workplace organization and cleanliness in accordance with 3C 5S standards.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Production Leader, Line Leader, Supervisor, or similar role in an automotive manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing production floor employees.
- Bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish required.
- Understanding of production targets, UPH, quality control, and process improvement.
- Ability to train new employees and enforce work standards.
- Ability to manage daily equipment checks and communicate maintenance concerns.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work in a factory environment, including noise, dust, and temperature changes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in automotive parts manufacturing, seating, interior components, textiles, or related production environments.
- Knowledge of 3C 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or continuous improvement practices.
- Experience with manpower planning, line balancing, and productivity improvement.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, production reports, or ERP/MES systems.
- Experience supporting quality improvement activities, root cause analysis, or corrective action follow-up.
Working Conditions
- Full-time position in a manufacturing / factory environment.
- Shift assignment may vary based on production needs.
- Overtime may be required depending on production schedules, equipment issues, quality concerns, or urgent operational needs.
- Must be able to work closely with production employees, supervisors, maintenance, quality, and management teams.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods on the production floor.
- Ability to bend, reach, and move throughout the workday as needed.
- Ability to work in a factory environment with noise, dust, and temperature variations.
- Ability to wear required PPE and follow all safety procedures.
