Responsibilities:
Unload and Load Materials
- Safely unload materials, finished goods and components from incoming trailers and load outgoing shipments. (Fully own the process and the details.)
- Unload Product: Stage product in designated areas, check, and sign off BOL.
- Unload & Sort Dunnage (Move containers by part number, storing containers neatly in designated location)
- Move Parts and Finished Goods to-and-from the warehouse to the quality audit stations.
Inventory Management
- Use ERP software, QAD, to pull Pick List and Breakdown List for shipments.
- Calculate trailer capacity and optimize load.
- Verify containers & container quantity against pick list for accuracy.
- Use scanner to verify components and finished goods, and print master labels.
- Prepare shipping paperwork (document numbers, bill-of-lading (BOL), generate master pick lists, and transmit EDI advanced shipping notices (ASN).
- Assist with manual sorting (if/when sorts are needed).
Driving: Willingness and ability to drive the company-owned box truck for last-mile and short runs to and from off-site warehouse as needed (Special operator license endorsement not needed for driving this box truck).
Equipment Inspection: Conduct pre-shift /mid-shift inspection of forklift and other material handling equipment to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety procedures (SOPs) and company policies while operating forklifts and material moving equipment. Must be able to pass a DOT drug test and background check.
Maintain Cleanliness: Keep work areas organized and free from hazards to ensure a safe working environment both for yourself and others as well as company property.
Requirements:
- Minimum three(3) years of proven experience in a warehouse environment.
- Minimum one(1) year of proven experience operating a forklift, preferably in a manufacturing warehouse work environment.
- Minimum six(6) months of experience loading/unloading.
- Must have basic know-how of RFID scanner usage
- Strong time management and task prioritization skills
- Prior inventory or cycle count experience.
- Basic proficiency in Windows OS and using a computer.
- Ability to function and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Requires availability to work overtime, alternate hours, during holidays and shutdowns to meet customer requirements with little-to-no advance notice.
- Experience with labeling software and container labeling.
- Previous experience with ERP systems such as QAD a plus.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must pass DOT drug screen and background check.
Job Type: Full-time 3pm to 11:30pm Monday-Friday, +additional paid weekend and holiday hours if/as needed.
