Capital Equipment- PROJECT MANAGER
SUMMARY: Individuals in this position are responsible for coordinating projects from order entry through the warranty period. Project Managers are responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects while ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with customer requirements and project scope.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external customers, stakeholders, and project teams
- Review customer specifications, sales quotations, and purchase orders for accuracy and completeness to ensure customer requirements are properly defined and executed
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and other departments to analyze assigned projects, establish schedules, define project milestones, and execute project plans
- Manage field project scope from contract review through successful installation completion and customer sign-off, as defined by the sales order
- Facilitate mechanical and electrical design reviews to ensure conformance to customer specifications
- Track and manage project costs against project estimates and report variances in labor and material costs at project completion and predefined project milestones
- Provide customers with regular project status updates and communication throughout project execution
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to project execution, communication, and customer satisfaction
- Perform other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- No direct supervisory responsibilities
- May provide leadership and coordination to cross-functional project teams throughout portions of the project lifecycle
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficient with project management software such as Microsoft Project
- Knowledge of engineering fundamentals related to company products and systems
- Ability to read, interpret, and understand mechanical and electrical drawings
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Less than 10% travel required
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor of Science degree, preferably in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience managing capital equipment projects
- Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered
Pay: $85,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
