American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring extensive trauma, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis experience with a full complement of ED certifications.

Work in a 30-bed Emergency Department
-
Staffing includes CNC, RNs, PCT/EMT, and unit secretary support on both day and night shifts
-
Patient ratios of 1-5 depending on acuity
-
Unit performs advanced procedures including thoracotomy, arterial lines, and massive transfusion protocol (MTP)
-
Uses advanced monitors, defibrillators, ultrasound, and EKG machines
-
Currently uses Meditech EMR, transitioning to Expanse in August 2026
-
13-week assignment on a 2p-2a shift schedule
-
Alternate weekend work required
-
May be required to float to two free-standing EDs as needed
-
Active RN license (TX or Compact) currently in hand
-
Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department experience required

Extensive experience with trauma, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis required

Advanced critical thinking skills required

Required certifications: ENPC, TNCC, ACLS, PALS, BLS, and CPI with TIC
-
NRP and STABLE certifications are a plus

Adult and pediatric ED experience preferred

No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration

One professional reference required

Deliver emergency care to a diverse patient population with high-acuity trauma and critical care needs

Candidates should be flexible, accountable, and strong team players

Must wear royal blue scrubs in accordance with facility dress code policy

Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered for this position
