Pivotal Solutions is hiring a Senior Audiovisual Technician to deploy, commission, and maintain secure audiovisual, multimedia, and video teleconferencing (AV/VTC) systems at Patuxent River Naval Air Station and other customer sites. This is a hands-on role for an experienced AV integration professional who already holds an active Top Secret security clearance. We are an engineering, integration, and cybersecurity company specializing in secure AV and multimedia systems for government and commercial clients.
What You'll Do
- Build, stage, commission, and maintain AV/VTC systems from build-to documents through final acceptance.
- Configure, program, and integrate AV equipment from Crestron, Biamp, Shure, Evertz Microsystems, Haivision, and Matrox.
- Configure and validate Cisco network devices and video collaboration equipment for reliable system performance.
- Install, terminate, and dress low-voltage cabling — fiber, copper, audio, and control wiring — and assemble and wire equipment racks.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, system block diagrams, and build-to documents.
- Diagnose and resolve complex AV and network issues on-site; develop mock-ups and perform integration testing.
- Maintain accurate configuration documentation and as-built drawings, and mentor junior technicians.
What You Bring (Required)
- Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance — SCI eligibility preferred. U.S. Citizenship required.
- 5+ years of hands-on AV installation, integration, and commissioning experience (7–10 years preferred).
- Hands-on experience with several of: Crestron, Biamp, Shure, Evertz Microsystems, Haivision, and Matrox.
- Low-voltage cabling, cable termination, and rack-wiring experience within the past 5 years.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Familiarity with network device configuration as it relates to AV systems.
Nice to Have
- AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D) credential.
- Cisco networking fundamentals (CCNA or equivalent).
- Manufacturer certifications (Crestron DMC, Biamp Tesira).
- Video wall and AV-over-IP installation and configuration experience.
- Prior DoD, government, or classified facility (SCIF) project experience.
