Responsibilities:
- Prepare sushi dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients used in sushi preparation
- Handle and store food safely to prevent contamination and ensure food safety
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area, including proper storage of utensils and equipment
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation of the sushi station
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking ingredients
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations in food preparation and handling
Skills:
- Strong knowledge and experience in sushi preparation techniques
- Proficient in using knives and other sushi preparation tools
- Familiarity with food industry standards and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of food presentation
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff
- Flexibility to adapt to changing menus and customer preferences
