American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position in a hospital-based Endoscopy and Pulmonary suite, requiring a valid NC or compact RN license and at least one year of nursing experience.

Hospital-based Endoscopy and Pulmonary suite serving both inpatient and outpatient populations

Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2

Anesthesia coverage provided for sedation procedures

ProVation documentation system used — familiarity required

36 hours per week worked over 4 days on a non-standard schedule: Mondays and Tuesdays 6:30am–5:00pm, plus any combination of Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday 6:30am–3:00pm

No on-call, weekend, or holiday requirements

Active NC RN license or compact RN license currently in hand

Current certifications required: BLS (AHA or ARC), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS, and CPI-B

Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required

Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from an accredited nursing school required; BSN or MSN preferred

Two professional references required for consideration

Coordinates and delivers patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation

Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to evaluate and communicate patient care plans and discharge needs

Performs bedside point-of-care testing as required by the patient care plan

Participates in unit performance improvement activities and promotes cost-effective, culturally competent care

Background check and drug screen are required prior to start; candidates should be prepared to report for drug screening promptly upon acceptance
