What This Role Is
You're the Owner's direct extension on the floor — and during your shifts, our Kitchen and FOH leads work under your direction. When a department needs help, you step in with authority, not just extra hands. You'll learn every facet of running a restaurant through hands-on work alongside ownership, managers, and the team.
Strong judgment and follow-through matter as much as years on a resume — but this isn't an entry-level seat. We need someone who's already led a team and is ready to lead a bigger one.
What You'll Do
- Maintain floor presence across FOH and BOH — and step in with authority when the team needs it
- Ensure consistent guest satisfaction by modeling high hospitality standards on every shift
- Run the operation in the Owner/GM's absence and handle day-to-day situations that don't need to escalate
- Hold Kitchen, and FOH leads accountable to our standards in real time — coach in the moment, not just after the shift
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new team members
- Assist with catering coordination and execution — on-site and off-site
- Monitor daily sales, labor, and food cost, and flag anything trending off target
- Work with the Kitchen lead on truck ordering, vendor price checks, and end-of-month inventory
- Support P&L management, including cash control, inventory, and labor
- Support health, safety, and facility maintenance standards
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of restaurant management or supervisory experience overseeing a team of 5 or more.
- Valid driver's license — no DUIs or major violations in the last 7 years; must be 21+ due to insurance requirements.
- ServSafe Manager certification (or ability to obtain within the first 30 days)
- Strong FOH background; BOH comfort is a plus
- Strong computer skills: email, POS, scheduling tools, Microsoft products, basic troubleshooting. Must be very comfortable with computers and software.
- Someone who defaults to action by leveraging available tools and good judgment to solve problems independently, taking total ownership of the outcome and seeking guidance when needed to get the job done right.
- This will require weekends.
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Stand for long periods of time.
If your goal is to manage a restaurant of your own one day, this is where you learn how — HR, financials, and operations, all from the inside.
