About the Role
We are seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our Operations team. This role plays an essential part in ensuring the smooth and accurate flow of materials and products in and out of our facility. The successful candidate will take pride in maintaining accuracy, organization, and safety within our warehouse while supporting the company’s operational and customer service goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to company and customer specifications.
- Generate and process shipping documentation including labels, bills of lading, and customs forms.
- Coordinate pickups and deliveries with carriers, couriers, and freight companies.
- Receive and inspect incoming materials and verify shipments against purchase orders.
- Report and document any discrepancies or damaged goods.
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records in the inventory management system.
- Assist with inventory counts and general warehouse organization.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment in compliance with company safety policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical warehouse duties.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with ERP or inventory software.
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) is an asset.
- Knowledge of shipping documentation and logistics procedures is an advantage.
