Assistant Managers are the main support for the site manager. They are responsible for ensuring preventative maintenance is being complete, daily cleaning for opening and closing is being completed right and managing breaks and punctuality. They are also the first real line of defense for customer issues. It is expected that assistant managers open or close most shifts. To become an assistant manager the Leadership Development Program is required. Below are the main responsibilities of an assistant manager, however, their duties are not limited to this list.
Position Overview – The Assistant Manager is responsible for daily operations, cleanliness, operational standards and compliance, customer satisfaction, company standards, and safety.·
Daily Operations – to ensure that all tasks are being completed in a safe and timely manner. This includes but is not limited to daily and monthly goals, proper sales technique, and audits.·
Cleanliness – Maintaining a clean work environment at all times. Cleanliness is everyone’s responsibility; however, the assistant manager is responsible for keeping up with company standards.·
Operational Standards & Compliance – Integrity of the company. Policies and procedures need to be understood. Operating the right way not the easy way. Understand the handbook and safety manual.·
Customer Satisfaction – Always ensure that customers are happy with the wash product we put out. Handle all issues that may arise and train if needed.·
Safety – maintaining a safe and effective work environment. Ensuring that all staff and customers are compliant with our safety protocols. Holding weekly training over safety.
