High school diploma or equivalent, or actively working toward completion; additional childcare/education coursework preferred.
CPR and First Aid training, or ability to obtain prior to assignment.
Minimum 1 year of experience working with children; 2 years preferred, preferably in classroom/Teacher Aide or related childcare support.
Strong classroom behavior support experience.
Must be bilingual Spanish‑English.
Energetic, hardworking, able to engage young learners with warmth and consistency.
Experience using first‑and‑then boards and token systems (or equivalent behavior/communication supports).
Experience supporting a non‑verbal kindergarten student with developmental delays during part of the day.
Ability to follow classroom routines and implement behavior strategies consistently.
Ability to support and supervise a 5‑year‑old safely throughout the school day.
Patience, calm communication, and trauma‑sensitive practices.
