EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
This position provides engineering support for water infrastructure projects funded through the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST) Program and related state and federal initiatives. Through your work, you will play a key role in ensuring that wastewater, drinking water, and stormwater projects are properly designed, reviewed, and managed. As an Environmental Engineer, you will perform the following duties: Project Review: Evaluate feasibility studies, engineering plans, specifications, and funding applications for water infrastructure projectsTechnical Guidance: Provide assistance to applicants and staff on program requirements, design standards, and construction expectationsData Management: Input project information into electronic systems with accuracy and compliance to established standardsProgram Support: Assist with statewide oversight of infrastructure projects funded through federal and state programsField Coordination: Visit project sites to support planning, inspections, and technical reviewsPolicy Development: Contribute to guidance, procedures, and regulatory updates for the PENNVEST ProgramInterested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employmentWork hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.Travel is required. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Meadville. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
