MLC is a client-first dedicated provider of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) serving children between the ages of 2-21 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Occupational Therapist :
This position requires the individual to have a minimum of a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy, have graduated from an accredited occupational therapy program, be licensed to practice and pass the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) exam. Licensure from Licensing and Regulatory Affairs-State of Michigan (LARA). Experience working with children diagnosed with Autism.

- Able to interact well with children and teens who have autism
- Works cooperatively as a therapy team member

- Strong leadership skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
- Adhere to the policies and procedures set by the Michigan Learning Community
- Participate in training activities as needed that provide instruction on occupational therapy, therapeutic treatments, child development, and techniques applicable to the client population.
- Record and report on the progress of individual clients as assigned
- Assist and educate families and staff on programs
- Quarterly graphing and progress reports for CMH
- Attend monthly Clinical Summit
- Meet with Clinical Director as deemed necessary
- Create and maintain professional relationship with client’s Supports Coordinator and update them on the client’s current progress
- Maintain CPR/First Aid certification for Pediatric and Adults
- Complete and maintain county specific training requirements
Basic and Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting,
crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time
