Job Summary/Purpose: The Production Control Assistant is responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the Production Planning and Scheduling team. This role ensures the timely preparation and distribution of production documentation while assisting with inventory control, production records, and other manufacturing support activities to facilitate the efficient execution of daily manufacturing operations.
This position is temporary with an estimated end date of March 31, 2027. We anticipate the qualified candidate to work 40 hours per week. The schedule will be 8:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday
Key Responsibilities/Duties:
· Print, assemble, and prepare complete production work order packages, including work orders, engineering drawings, inspection sheets, labels, and all required manufacturing documentation.
- Prepare production work order packages in accordance with the production schedule, maintaining production documentation at least one week in advance of scheduled production.
- Review production work order packages for completeness and accuracy prior to release to Production.
- Identify missing, incorrect, or obsolete engineering drawings and coordinate with Engineering to ensure documentation is updated prior to releasing work orders.
- Identify missing or incomplete manufacturing routings and coordinate with the appropriate department to ensure routings are created or corrected prior to releasing work orders.
- Monitor and follow up on open documentation issues to ensure timely resolution and minimize disruptions to the production schedule.
- Distribute completed work order packages to production department and maintain a documented sign-off log confirming receipt.
- Assist with cycle count activities as assigned and maintain accurate cycle count documentation and records.
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Production Planning and Scheduling team.
- Support production-related projects, inventory initiatives, and continuous improvement activities as assigned.
- Maintain organized production documentation and records in accordance with company document control practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of the Production Planning and Scheduling functions.
