Juliette’s House Overview: Juliette’s House is a Child Advocacy Center located in McMinnville, Oregon. We are a mission-driven nonprofit organization serving Yamhill County and parts of Polk County. The center provides coordinated, multidisciplinary assessments for children when there are concerns of physical abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, domestic violence exposure, drug endangerment, trafficking, or other forms of maltreatment.
Position Overview: Juliette’s House is seeking a part-time medical provider (FNP, PNP, MD, or DO) to join our multidisciplinary team. The Child Abuse Medical Examiner provides trauma-informed medical evaluations for children and adolescents when abuse or neglect is suspected. The medical provider works closely with forensic interviewers, family advocates, law enforcement, Child Protective Services, and the District Attorney’s Office to ensure coordinated assessment and care for children and families. Prior specialization in child abuse pediatrics is not required. Comprehensive training and mentorship are provided. The ideal candidate has an interest in pediatric medicine, trauma-informed care, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Hours, Compensation, and Benefits:
Schedule: Part-time (20–28 hours per week), generally Monday–Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with occasional hours outside the standard workday
Salary: Hourly rate dependent upon experience

Qualifications and requirements:
- Licensed medical provider (PNP, FNP, MD, or DO) with a current State of Oregon license
- Minimum three years of pediatric/family medicine clinical experience
- Strong understanding of childhood development
- Knowledge of child abuse dynamics is preferred, but not required (comprehensive training is available)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to exercise strong clinical judgement and decision-making
- Ability to pass a criminal background check, DHS Child Welfare Registry, and sex offender registry check prior to employment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook) and willingness to learn additional systems
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred, but not required
Primary Responsibilities:
· Work as part of the assessment team, including a forensic interviewer and family advocate, to provide comprehensive assessments to children when there are concerns of abuse or neglect
· Perform thorough, trauma-informed medical examinations for children and adolescents
· Provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment recommendations and referrals
· Conduct Karly’s Law examinations and Suspicious Physical Injury (SPI) photo reviews as needed
· Provide timely, objective, and legally sound documentation
· Provide fact or expert testimony when subpoenaed. Preparation and support will be provided
· Serve as a key member of the Yamhill County Multidisciplinary Child Abuse Team (MDT), providing case reviews, consultations, and interagency communication to ensure coordinated care
· Provide medical consults relating to child abuse to community partners as necessary
