POSITION SUMMARY:
Jesse Stutts, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to lead and supervise field operations on large-scale commercial, industrial, healthcare, data center, institutional, and mission-critical electrical construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully delivering projects with electrical contract values exceeding $15 million (in electrical value) while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, productivity, and client satisfaction.
The Electrical Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all field activities, managing manpower, coordinating subcontractors and vendors, ensuring schedule adherence, and serving as the primary field leader for project execution.
DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES/ ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Direct and supervise all field operations on assigned projects.
- Lead field personnel, foremen, and subcontractors to ensure safe and efficient project execution.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage labor resources to achieve project schedules and productivity goals.
- Conduct weekly and daily planning meetings with project teams.
- Ensure compliance with all company, client, OSHA, and site-specific safety requirements.
- Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure accurate installation and execution.
- Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, owners, engineers, inspectors, and trade partners.
- Identify and proactively resolve field issues, conflicts, and schedule impacts.
- Monitor project progress and develop recovery plans when necessary.
- Track manpower utilization, productivity, and construction milestones.
- Perform quality control inspections and ensure compliance with project quality standards.
- Assist in material procurement planning and delivery coordination.
- Support project budgeting efforts through efficient resource management.
- Prepare and maintain daily reports, manpower reports, look-ahead schedules, and progress updates.
- Mentor and develop foremen and field personnel to strengthen workforce capabilities.
- Participate in project turnover, commissioning, and closeout activities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 10 years of electrical construction experience with progressive leadership responsibilities.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Electrical Superintendent or Senior General Foreman.
- Candidates must provide examples of at least two completed projects with electrical contract values exceeding $15 million where they served as Electrical Superintendent, Lead Superintendent, or Senior General Foreman.
- Demonstrated success managing projects with electrical contract values of $15 million or greater.
- Extensive experience on large commercial, industrial, healthcare, manufacturing, data center, institutional, or mission-critical projects.
- Thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Proven ability to manage large craft workforces and multiple crews simultaneously.
- Strong scheduling and planning skills.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, submittals, and construction schedules.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
Strong understanding of electrical systems including:
- Medium and low-voltage distribution
- Power and lighting systems
- Emergency power systems
- Fire alarm systems
- Communications and low-voltage systems
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master Electrician License or Journeyman Electrician License.
- OSHA 30 Certification.
- Experience with BIM/VDC coordination and project commissioning.
- Experience utilizing Procore, Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Primavera P6, or Microsoft Project.
- Experience with complex commercial, industrial, healthcare, data center, manufacturing, or mission-critical facilities is strongly preferred.
- Electrical field leadership experience on projects exceeding $25 million in electrical scope.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
To perform the essential functions of this position successfully, the candidate must be able to:
- Work in active construction environments for extended periods of time.
- Frequently walk, stand, climb stairs, ladders, and scaffolding throughout the workday.
- Navigate uneven terrain, excavation areas, elevated platforms, and partially completed structures.
- Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull materials, tools, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Bend, kneel, crouch, stoop, and reach overhead as required during site inspections and field coordination activities.
- Ability to visually inspect work for quality, safety compliance, and adherence to plans and specifications.
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and through electronic communication methods.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle and travel to multiple project locations as needed.
- Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and varying shifts when project schedules require.
WORK ENVIRONMNENT:
- This position is primarily performed on active commercial, industrial, institutional, healthcare, manufacturing, and mission-critical construction sites.
- The Electrical Superintendent will be regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, humidity, and varying environmental conditions.
- Work may occur in areas exposed to construction-related noise, dust, vibration, and moving equipment.
- The position requires compliance with all company safety policies, client requirements, and OSHA regulations.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety glasses, high visibility clothing, gloves, and safety footwear, must be worn as required.
- Frequent interaction with project managers, owners, general contractors, engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel is required.
- The position requires the ability to manage multiple priorities and make decisions in a fast-paced, deadline-driven construction environment.
- Travel between project sites and occasional overnight travel may be required depending on project location and business needs.
Pay: $91,017.78 - $109,612.80 per year
