Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team in providing exceptional food service to residents in our facility. The ideal candidate will assist in meal preparation, serving, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. This role is essential in ensuring that residents receive nutritious meals that meet their dietary needs while promoting a positive dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences.
- Ensure all food is handled, prepared, and stored in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
- Support the dietary department by bussing tables and cleaning up after meals.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to understand residents' dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Participate in meal planning and preparation under the guidance of culinary staff.
- Uphold high standards of customer service while interacting with residents during meal times.
Skills
- Experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospitals is preferred.
- Knowledge of food production techniques and culinary practices.
- Strong time management skills to efficiently complete tasks within designated time frames.
- Familiarity with dietary department operations and food service protocols.
- Excellent customer service skills to ensure resident satisfaction during meal service.
- Proficiency in food handling, safety practices, and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
