As a Locum MD / DO, you will provide specialized medical care, conduct thorough patient evaluations, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance treatment plans for patients. Your expertise in hematology oncology will play a crucial role in supporting the goals of our clients and improving patient outcomes in the community.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostics

Develop individualized treatment plans for hematology oncology patients

Collaborate with nursing and clinical staff to provide high-quality care

Participate in patient education and support initiatives

Maintain accurate medical records and documentation

Stay updated on the latest advancements in hematology oncology

Provide consultation and guidance on complex case management

Participate in quality improvement projects and initiatives
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution

Board certification in Hematology Oncology preferred

Associate-level experience in a clinical setting

Strong diagnostic and treatment planning skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of Virginia
Schedule: Monday-Friday with call
Daily Volume: 12-15 patients
Setting: 25% inpatient, 75% outpatient
Case Types: Primarily benign hematology
No solid oncology or malignant hematology
Support Staff: PAs, NPs, nurse navigators, medical assistants, and RNs
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
