Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Plumber Technician to join our growing team. This role includes a mix of service plumbing, construction plumbing, commercial projects, and government/facility work.
The Plumber Technician will be responsible for installing, repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and public-sector environments. Work may include service calls, remodels, tenant improvements, facility maintenance, pipe repairs, sewer and drain work, water heaters, gas piping, and new construction installations.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on plumbing experience, communicates clearly in English, understands jobsite safety and plumbing code requirements, and can work professionally in both active construction sites and occupied buildings.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential, commercial, construction, and government/facility settings.
- Perform service plumbing work, including leak repairs, fixture replacements, drain and sewer repairs, water heater service, valve replacements, and general troubleshooting.
- Complete plumbing installations for remodels, tenant improvements, commercial upgrades, and new construction projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and job specifications.
- Install and repair water, waste, vent, gas, and drainage piping systems.
- Use hand tools, power tools, drain equipment, pipe threading equipment, and other plumbing tools safely and properly.
- Perform pipe fitting, threading, soldering, brazing, welding, and other approved joining methods as needed.
- Assemble and install fixtures, faucets, toilets, water heaters, pumps, cleanouts, valves, and related plumbing equipment.
- Diagnose plumbing and mechanical issues, including leaks, stoppages, pressure problems, equipment failures, and utility-related concerns.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, supervisors, facility representatives, inspectors, and other trades.
- Explain findings, repair options, and recommendations to customers in a helpful and honest way.
- Identify additional repair or replacement opportunities when appropriate and present options professionally without pressure.
- Maintain clean, safe, and professional work areas, especially in occupied commercial and government facilities.
- Follow company procedures, jobsite safety protocols, OSHA standards, building codes, and plumbing codes.
- Perform measurements, pipe sizing, material takeoffs, and basic field calculations.
- Document work performed, materials used, jobsite conditions, photos, and recommended follow-up repairs.
- Represent the company with honesty, kindness, respect, and professionalism on every job.
Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a plumber, plumber technician, service plumber, or construction plumber.
- Experience with both service and construction plumbing is strongly preferred.
- Commercial plumbing, facility maintenance, or government/public-sector work experience is a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot common plumbing issues, including leaks, stoppages, water system failures, fixture problems, and drainage concerns.
- Experience reading blueprints, schematics, plumbing drawings, and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of common plumbing materials, including copper, cast iron, ABS, PVC, PEX, galvanized, gas piping, and threaded pipe systems.
- Hands-on experience with pipe threading, soldering, brazing, drain cleaning, fixture installation, and remodel plumbing.
- Familiarity with water heaters, pumps, valves, sewer and drain systems, cleanouts, gas lines, and commercial fixtures.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills for measurements, layouts, pipe sizing, and material estimating.
- English proficiency required for customer communication, documentation, safety instructions, and coordination with the team.
- Valid driver’s license required; clean driving record preferred.
- Sales or customer-service experience is highly desirable, especially the ability to explain options and make recommendations professionally.
- Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, carrying, digging, crawling, climbing, and working in confined or difficult access areas.
- Ability to use jobsite tools and equipment safely.
- Commercial driving experience, forklift operation, or heavy equipment familiarity is helpful but not required.
- Strong communication skills, reliability, professionalism, honesty, kindness, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Pay: $25.00 - $50.00 per hour
