American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 2 years of IR experience for a fast-paced, 8-room procedural unit at a Level I trauma hospital.

Fast-paced, 8-room procedural IR unit within a Level I trauma hospital
-
Patient population includes both outpatient and critically ill inpatients, including emergent trauma and stroke patients
-
Procedures include embolizations (neuro and body), drain placement/exchanges, central line placements, Y90 planning and implant, and additional IR procedures
-
1 RN and 1–2 Rad Techs per procedure room; patient ratio of 1:2

Siemens imaging equipment used; Epic EMR
-
4x10 hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, typically 7:30 AM–6:00 PM with occasional 7:00 AM starts
-
Weeknight call required once per week (6:00 PM–7:30 AM); weekend call required every 4–6 weeks (Friday 6:00 PM through Monday 7:30 AM)

No floating required

Minimum of 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience required

Current ARRT and BLS certifications required

Experience in a high-acuity, trauma-level IR setting strongly preferred

Proficiency with Siemens IR equipment

Epic EMR experience preferred

Must be comfortable working with critically ill inpatients and emergent trauma and stroke cases

License required if applicable

First-time travelers are generally not accepted; candidates with exceptionally strong IR experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis

Scrubs are provided

Travelers must park in a shuttle lot except when on-call

Candidates living within 75 miles of the facility are accepted

Up to 10 RTO days may be approved; RTO is not permitted during the following blackout periods: May 21–27, June 28–July 9, and September 2–12
