Miami Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired
Are you passionate about helping people achieve independence, confidence, and meaningful employment? Miami Lighthouse is seeking a dedicated Employment Success Coach to support transition-age youth and adults who are blind or visually impaired as they prepare for, obtain, and maintain employment.

Position Overview
The Employment Success Coach works directly with students participating in Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) and adults seeking employment. The successful candidate will provide individualized coaching, workplace readiness training, job exploration, and ongoing support to help participants develop the skills needed to succeed in today's workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one and group coaching to youth and adults preparing for employment.
- Teach workplace readiness and essential soft skills, including:
- Communication
- Professionalism
- Teamwork
- Problem-solving
- Time management
- Self-advocacy
- Interviewing skills
- Assist participants with career exploration and identifying employment goals.
- Support job seekers with résumé development, job applications, and interview preparation.
- Build relationships with local employers and community partners to identify employment opportunities.
- Conduct job coaching and follow-up support to promote successful job retention.
- Maintain accurate documentation and participant progress records.
- Collaborate with families, educators, vocational rehabilitation counselors, and community partners to support participant success.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Education, Social Work, Rehabilitation, Psychology, or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with youth, adults with disabilities, workforce development programs, or vocational services.
- Strong interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate, mentor, and support individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Passion for helping others achieve independence and meaningful employment.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
