Job Posting - Mechanic
Specialized Professional Services Inc. (SPSI) is an established national and growing hazmat/environmental services contractor headquartered in Washington, PA. SPSI is hiring a full time Mechanic Monday-Friday.
Job Responsibilities:
- Running diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpreting the results to offer suitable solutions.
- Inspecting vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering and exhausts.
- Repairing or replacing vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines, and other associated parts.
- Conducting field visits in the case of an emergency or sudden breakdown.
- Test driving repaired vehicles to gauge their performance.
- Completing oil changes, wheel balancing, alignment, and brake checks.
- Maintaining records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles.
- Experience with heavy equipment, small engines is preferred.
- Diesel Mechanic experience preferred.
- Previous experience maintaining and repairing air brakes, hydraulics, electrical systems and ABS brakes preferred.
- CDL License preferred but not required.
Salary:
- $24-26.00/hour based on experience and certifications.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- At least 21 years old
- Must pass drug and alcohol test, physical, background check and driving record check.
- Proficient in English (oral and written)
- The ability to work weekends and extended hours as needed.
- The ability to travel and work at remote sites as needed.
