We are looking for an experienced, friendly, and highly organized Dental Scheduling Coordinator to join our growing dental practice. We are looking for someone who understands the dental environment and can confidently communicate with patients, manage a busy schedule, and coordinate appointments efficiently.
MUST HAVE DENTAL OFFICE EXPERIENCE
This position is ideal for someone who has previous experience working in a dental office, dental front desk, or dental scheduling position. Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, insurance, and scheduling is required.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments efficiently
- Manage a busy dental schedule and maximize provider availability
- Confirm appointments and follow up with patients
- Reschedule cancellations and fill open appointments
- Answer phones and assist patients with questions
- Check patients in and out
- Verify and update patient information and insurance details
- Review treatment plans and help patients schedule recommended treatment
- Communicate professionally with patients regarding appointments and financial responsibilities
- Coordinate appointments for general dentistry, Invisalign, cosmetic dentistry, and other dental procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Work closely with doctors, hygienists, and dental assistants
- Help ensure the office schedule runs smoothly and efficiently
Qualifications
- Previous dental office experience REQUIRED
- Previous experience with dental scheduling/front desk preferred
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Experience with Dentrix strongly preferred
- Knowledge of dental insurance and ADA codes preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Professional, friendly, and positive attitude
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dental environment
- Must be comfortable speaking with patients and discussing appointments and treatment
