Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to monitor for suspicious activity, security breaches, or safety hazards
- Operate surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras and access control systems to oversee property security
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, following established emergency response procedures
- Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches, accidents, or unusual occurrences
- Manage access control by verifying identities and performing background checks on visitors and contractors
- Perform physical security tasks including heavy lifting, manual handling, and maintaining safety during patrols or incident responses
- De-escalate conflicts using conflict management techniques and law enforcement protocols when necessary
Requirements
- Proven experience in security or related fields such as military or law enforcement roles is preferred
- Certification in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, and Taser use is highly desirable
- Knowledge of CCTV systems, fire safety procedures, and loss prevention strategies is essential
- Ability to perform background checks and conduct thorough security screenings with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills for incident report writing, conflict de-escalation, and customer service interactions
- Physical fitness to perform patrolling duties including standing for long periods, heavy lifting, and manual handling tasks
- Familiarity with emergency response procedures including fire safety protocols and AED operation
- Commitment to compliance with all security regulations and safety standards
