We have an opportunity for a dependable, detail-oriented Payroll & AP Specialist to support our day-to-day accounting and payroll functions. This position is ideal for someone with 1-2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable, and payroll experience who enjoys working with numbers, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring employees and vendors are paid accurately and on time.
A typical week includes processing vendor invoices, preparing payments, processing expense reports, reconciling records, and maintaining accurate accounting and payroll information. Every other week, you'll process payroll and related reports. You'll also support annual audits, 1099 reporting, and other routine accounting activities throughout the year.
Responsibilities-
Process biweekly payroll and maintain payroll records.

Process vendor invoices and prepare check, ACH, and wire payments.

Reconcile accounts payable records and bank accounts.

Review employee expense reports and company credit card transactions.

Administer the corporate Visa card program.

Maintain accurate financial, vendor, and employee records.

Assist with annual audits, 1099 reporting, and other accounting tasks as needed.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

1-2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, accounts payable, or related experience preferred.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel.

Ability to learn and effectively use the company's ERP and HRIS systems.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling employee, payroll, and financial information.

Base Salary Range: $21.78 - $29.40 per hour.
This salary range represents the compensation ComSonics reasonably expects to offer for this position at the time of posting and has been established in good faith based on current market data, internal pay practices, and applicable laws.
Final compensation will be determined within this range based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, education, internal equity, geographic location, and business needs. Offers are typically aligned within the lower to mid-range of the salary band, depending on experience and alignment with role requirements.
Incentive Compensation:
- Positions not eligible for commission may be eligible for an annual incentive bonus. Bonus opportunities are based on role level and are subject to individual and company performance. Any bonus is not guaranteed and is governed by the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
- Positions eligible for commission participate in a commission-based compensation plan. Commission earnings are based on individual performance and applicable sales plans. Actual earnings may vary and are subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable commission plan.
