A Special Education teaching opportunity is available for the fall semester, covering an FMLA position from September through November 26. This in-person role involves supporting approximately 10 eighth-grade students with a variety of disabilities, integrated within a general education setting. The position is based in East Hanover, NJ, and is ideal for educators passionate about fostering inclusive learning environments.
The chosen candidate will work Monday through Friday, from 7:55 AM to 2:55 PM, including a 30-minute lunch break. This contract role is well-suited for new graduates with the appropriate certification seeking hands-on experience in special education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students’ individual needs in a general education setting
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to modify curriculum and accommodate diverse learning requirements
- Monitor student progress and maintain detailed records in compliance with educational guidelines
- Foster a positive, supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement and growth
Qualifications:
- Valid Teacher of Students with Disabilities certification
- Experience working with students exhibiting a range of disabilities is preferred; however, new graduates are welcome to apply
