Qualifications:
- Valid Teacher of Students with Disabilities Certification required
- Experience working with students with various disabilities, preferably in grades 6-8
- Strong collaboration skills for working alongside general education staff
- Ability to tailor instruction based on individual student needs and IEPs
- Positive, adaptive, and initiative-driven mindset
- Professionalism, reliability, and excellent communication skills
- New graduates are welcome if certified
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver special education services in a general education classroom to a group of 10 students
- Adapt and modify instructional materials to meet IEP goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers
- Collect data, monitor progress, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with families and school staff
- Maintain classroom routines from 7:55 AM to 2:55 PM, with a 30-minute lunch break
