Position Title: Lube Technician

Summary
Seeking dedicated people with desire to learn and build a career while exceeding the highest quality of safety standards. The Lube Technician will perform maintenance, lubrication services, fluid changes, and minor repairs on our fleet of trucks, equipment and other vehicles. Your work will ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and support safe, efficient daily operations in our ready-mix and construction production environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine lubrication and preventive maintenance on heavy equipment and vehicles, including oil changes, filter replacements (oil, air, fuel), greasing of bearings and moving parts, and fluid top-offs (coolant, hydraulic, transmission, etc.).
- Conduct visual inspections of equipment for wear, leaks, damage, or safety issues; report major repairs needed to the supervisor.
- Identify and report any potential safety hazards or risks associated with the equipment.
- Operate lube/service trucks to perform field maintenance at job sites and plants.
- Assist with mechanical repairs such as belts, hoses, lights, batteries, and basic troubleshooting.
- Report issues, repairs, and parts replacements to the supervisor and ensure that all maintenance logs are current.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed, fluid usage, meter readings, and maintenance logs.
- Follow manufacturer maintenance schedules and company safety/environmental procedures.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and stocked with necessary lubricants and supplies.
- Provide quick and effective solutions to minimize equipment downtime on job sites.
- Ensure all work is conducted safely, including proper use of PPE, adhering to company safety protocols and industry regulations.
- Coordinate with other team members to prioritize repairs based on project needs and equipment availability.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications preferred.
- Valid driver’s license is required.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a lube technician, oil and filter specialist, or diesel mechanic, preferably in construction, ready-mix, or heavy equipment environments.
- Strong knowledge of lubrication practices, fluid types, and preventive maintenance for diesel engines and heavy machinery.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and service equipment safely.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and technical documents.
- Basic computer skills for logging maintenance records.
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or on-call as needed for fleet support.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions and is exposed to airborne particles. The employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
