Job Summary
A Church and Community Youth Programs Administrator oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of youth and children’s ministry programs, providing spiritual guidance, volunteer management, and administrative support to foster faith development and community engagement. This role is central to fostering a vibrant, inclusive, and spiritually nurturing environment for children and youth, while supporting the broader mission and community engagement of the church.Key Responsibilities
- Program Development and Oversight: Design, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate programs for children and youth, including Sunday school, retreats, field trips, and special events, ensuring alignment with the church’s mission and values.
- Volunteer Recruitment and Management: Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers to support youth programs, ensuring safe and effective engagement with children and teens.
- Spiritual Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to youth, fostering faith development, social responsibility, and inclusive values within the congregation.
- Administrative Duties: Manage program schedules, budgets, registration processes, and communication with parents, clergy, ministries and staff. Maintain records and ensure compliance with church policies, including safety protocols.
- Community Engagement: Advocate for youth participation in intergenerational programs, outreach activities with federal, state and locally funded programs. Assist in welcoming new families and integrating youth into church life.
- Program Assessment: Evaluate the effectiveness of youth programs, identify areas for improvement, and balance traditional activities with innovative initiatives.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in education, Christian education, youth ministry, or related field in youth program development. Familiarity in federal, state, grant and foundational programs.
- Experience: Minimum of three years in children and youth programming, with proven ability to develop and lead community faith-based programs.
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
