Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our home care team. As a Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care and support to our consumers. Schedule:
Monday-Thursday 10:00 am-3:00 pm

- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Assist with neighborhood walks, doctor's visits
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Assist in the transfer and transportation of patients within the home
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient care
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must pass a Level 2 Background Screening & Local Law
- 2 years of employment reference and 3 personal references
- 1st AIDE/CPR
- Medication Administration
- Experience working with special needs
- Required Training:
Zero Tolerance, HIPPA, HIV/AIDS, Direct Care Core Competencies, Electronic EMR Wihin 30 days of employment
Salary: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25-30 hrs week
- Proven experience as a Direct Support Professional or similar role
-Proven Experience working with people with an intellectual disability
- Knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and basic healthcare procedures
- Familiarity with home care, assisted living, or other healthcare settings is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Compassionate and empathetic nature towards patients
- Ability to work well in a team environment
