American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for an ER Holding/Rapid Admit Unit position requiring 1-2 years of experience and NIHSS certification.

Work in the Rapid Admit Unit/ER Holding Unit providing MS level of care
-
Night shift, 4x12 hour shifts from 18:30 to 7:00
-
48 hours per week preferred, Monday-Thursday
-
Patient ratio of 1:4, with floating up to 1:6
-
Floating required to like units within scope based on facility needs, with brief orientation provided
-
Active RN license (New Mexico or Compact) required, pending licenses accepted if obtained prior to start

Current certifications: BLS, NIHSS, and CPI required; ACLS preferred

2 years of experience preferred, will consider candidates with 1+ years

EPIC charting experience preferred

Skills in IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, peripheral and PICC line management, respiratory care, and wound care
-
Experience with cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and rapid response/code team protocols preferred

Provide nursing care to patients in a Med/Surg-Tele level ER Holding environment

Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for consideration

Former staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler

First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Up to 4 days of RTO can be auto-approved at time of submission
-
No RTO permitted during the first week of orientation

Travelers must complete onsite orientation modules, with RNs averaging 4-6 hours
