Lake Superior Consulting is seeking a Structural Engineer IV to join our growing Facilities Engineering group.
This senior-level role is responsible for leading project engineering efforts that require advanced technical expertise, sound judgment, and independent decision-making. The Structural Engineer IV plans and executes complex engineering work involving the evaluation, selection, application, and adaptation of structural engineering techniques, procedures, and design criteria. The successful candidate will develop innovative solutions to challenging design problems, prepare and review drawings, specifications, and calculations, and oversee project activities to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and accepted engineering practices. In addition, this role provides technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to junior engineers and technical staff while supporting the successful delivery of projects.
Perform structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills, and experience.
Education, Certifications/Licenses, Experience:
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Preferred experience with engineering and/ design software such as AutoCAD, Navisworks, Civil 3D, RISA, Excel Spreadsheets, Bluebeam REVU etc.
Physical Requirements and Demands:
The job requires the ability to sit for extended periods at a computer workstation. Routinely use standard office equipment such as but not limited to: computers, phones, copiers, and filing cabinets. Regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, talk, and hear.

Lake Superior Consulting offers a competitive compensation package. The actual starting salary will be determined based on a variety of factors, including your skills, experience, and office/market location. The anticipated salary range for this position is $95,000 - $132,800.
