CNC Machinist / Programmer (Mastercam)

AEI Fabrication is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist / Programmer who enjoys producing high-quality precision components and takes pride in doing the job right. If you have experience programming, setting up, and operating CNC equipment in a fast-paced job shop environment, we'd like to meet you.
This is a hands-on position where you'll work on a wide variety of projects supporting the aerospace, defense, medical, and commercial industries.
What You'll Do
- Program, set up, and operate CNC machining centers.
- Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam.
- Read blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and GD&T.
- Select tooling, fixtures, feeds, and speeds for efficient production.
- Perform complete machine setups and load raw materials.
- Inspect first articles, in-process parts, and finished components using precision measuring equipment.
- Make machine and program adjustments to maintain quality, efficiency, and dimensional accuracy.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements.
- Record production information in our ERP system.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Cross-train and assist in other manufacturing areas as needed.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing or job shop environment.
- Experience programming, setting up, and operating CNC machining centers.
- Mastercam experience is required.
- Haas and/or Mazak machining experience preferred.
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gauges.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving ability, and mathematical skills.
- ERP experience is a plus.
- Experience working in an ISO 9001 or AS9100 manufacturing environment preferred.
- Dependable, quality-focused, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Machinist apprenticeship or equivalent experience preferred.

Additional Information
- Full-time, hourly position.
- Overtime and occasional weekends may be required to meet customer schedules.

Pay: $38.00 - $40.00 per hour
