Duties
- Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth service flow and high standards of food quality and customer satisfaction
- Supervise and motivate staff, including training new team members on food preparation, POS systems (such as Aloha POS and Micros POS), and food safety protocols
- Manage shift schedules, monitor labor costs, and optimize staffing levels to meet business demands while controlling expenses
- Oversee food handling, inventory control, and food production processes to maintain freshness, quality, and safety standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately, perform cash handling duties, and reconcile daily sales reports
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards related to food safety management and sanitation practices
- Support staff training initiatives focused on culinary skills, customer service excellence, and managerial communication to foster a motivated team environment
Requirements
- Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant management with a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with team leadership, staff training, and managing hospitality teams effectively
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with cash handling and financial reconciliation is essential
- Knowledge of food safety management practices, inventory control techniques, and food industry regulations
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for budgeting, P&L analysis, and order processing
- Excellent communication skills for interviewing candidates, managing staff performance, and engaging with customers professionally
- Previous experience in casual dining or fine dining environments is highly desirable; banquet or catering experience is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced setting
