Central Louisiana Technical Community College (CLTCC) serves the communities of Central Louisiana through five campuses—Alexandria Main Campus, Huey P. Long Campus (Winnfield), Ferriday Campus, Rod Brady Campus (Jena), and Ward H. Nash Avoyelles Campus (Cottonport)—as well as multiple correctional instructional sites.
Position is domiciled at the Alexandria Campus.
SUMMARY:
The Records Specialist reports to the Registrar and is responsible for student records within all instructional programs at CLTCC. The Records Specialist is responsible for daily communication, management, and official records for all CLTCC students.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Uses the web and other technology resources to improve records retention and student communication.
· Enters data from forms, records, reports and/or other sources into the Banner student information system.
· Works under the general supervision of the Registrar.
· Completes special projects assigned by the Registrar and other duties assigned.
· Interacts with CLTCC employees, students, or outside contacts to provide information and respond to reasonable requests.
· Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
· Associate degree in a related field and 3 years of related experience; or any combination of education, training and experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the job.
· Must have at least one year of experience performing clerical tasks of routine difficulty, including preparing and maintaining records. Must be committed to a collaborative work environment, learning, and development.
Preferred (Desired) Qualifications:
· Knowledge of curriculum and academic program structures at a post-secondary educational institution.
· The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act and other state and federal laws, rules, regulations, and policies
· Standard business applications including word processing, spreadsheet and database software, and other specialized software applications, including enterprise software and management systems.
Additional Requirements:
A valid Louisiana Driver’s License
Proof of motor vehicle insurance
