We are looking for a Legal Assistant who is:

Responsibilities
You will report directly to the attorney and support all aspects of client care and office operations, including:
- Preparing, proofreading, and organizing legal documents
- Managing client communication with professionalism and empathy
- Coordinating appointments, follow‑ups, and client progression through our established systems
- Ensuring the attorney is fully prepared for client meetings and casework
- Maintaining accurate records, scanning, copying, and filing
- Supporting office operations and assisting with off‑site tasks, events, and occasional travel to our Wilmington satellite office or local courthouses
QualificationsOur ideal candidate brings:
- Strong proficiency in Outlook (calendar + email)
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Zoom familiarity
- Exceptional organization, task management, and follow‑through
- High attention to detail and strong proofreading/editing skills
- Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s preferred
- Fast yet accurate work habits
- Comfort working with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Excellent telephone, interpersonal, and written communication skills
- A strong work ethic, reliability, and professional maturity
- Patience and empathy when working with older adults
- Ability to prioritize, accept constructive redirection, and adapt quickly
- Calmness under pressure and a positive, team‑oriented attitude
- A reliable vehicle for errands, deliveries, and off‑site responsibilities
