Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, engaging, and dependable Full-Time Nanny to provide exceptional care for infants and toddlers in Newport Beach and surrounding areas. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with young children and are looking for a flexible schedule with consistent weekday hours.
Most assignments take place Monday through Friday during traditional business hours while parents are working. The ideal candidate is nurturing, communicative, reliable, and passionate about supporting children's growth and development in a home environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, nurturing care for infants and toddlers
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities including reading, arts and crafts, games, and outdoor play
- Maintain a safe, clean, and positive environment
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily activities and child development
- Support children's emotional, social, and physical development
- Assist with light cleanup related to children's activities
- Respond calmly and appropriately to unexpected or emergency situations
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of hands-on infant care experience
- Previous experience as a nanny, babysitter, daycare teacher, preschool teacher, childcare provider, or church nursery worker preferred
- Genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Available at least 5 days per week for shifts ranging from 6 to 9 hours between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM
- Able to provide 3 professional or personal references, including at least 2 childcare-related references
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Dependable, punctual, and trustworthy

Work Environment

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds safely
- Frequent bending, squatting, reaching, and lifting
- Ability to sit on and rise from the floor multiple times throughout the day
- Must be able to react quickly to changing situations and emergencies
- Comfortable participating in active play indoors and outdoors
Education and Certifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
