Position Summary
Village Home Care is seeking a motivated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our growing home health team. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide therapeutic services that help patients restore function, improve mobility, and safely remain at home.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and mobility improvement
- Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising PT
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety techniques
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members
- Participate in care coordination and case conferences as needed
Qualifications
- Current Florida Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license (required)
- Graduate of an accredited PTA program
- Minimum of 1 year clinical experience preferred (home health experience a plus)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a home setting
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Current CPR certification

Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
