American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week home health and SNF travel contract covering multiple locations in Nebraska.

Coverage split across SNF and home health settings in Grand Island, Hastings, and Kearney, Nebraska
-
Home health caseload accounts for approximately 2–3 days per week in each coverage area
-
Geriatric patient population across SNF and home health settings
-
SNF productivity expectation is 82% (evaluation, group, and concurrent time counted in full); HH productivity expectation is 90%, inclusive of drive time and documentation
-
EMR systems used are Net Health and HCHB
-
8-hour day shifts; standard schedule is Monday–Friday with flexibility for shifted schedules such as Tuesday–Saturday or Sunday–Thursday

Mileage and drive time are compensated between locations and from patient to patient in home health
-
Candidates residing within 80 miles of the facility are subject to local pay rates
-
Minimum 2 years of experience as a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist

Completion of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program
-
Current state licensure for the state of practice required, if applicable

Current BLS certification required

Experience in a rehabilitation or geriatrics setting preferred

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Must be at least 18 years of age

Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing

New graduates will be considered — a therapy supervisor is onsite, and a clinical specialist and director are also available for support

Responsibilities include administering therapeutic interventions, assessing client needs, and developing individualized plans of care

Documents clinical observations and services provided, notifies physicians of changes, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team

Trains clients, family members, and staff on therapeutic interventions and equipment
-
Follows infection control, safety standards, and appropriate bag techniques during home health visits

Coverage in Kearney is temporary while a staff SLP is on maternity leave; upon her return, the assignment will shift fully to the Grand Island and Hastings SNF and HH locations

Scrubs or appropriate clinical attire expected; noise level in the work environment is generally moderate
