Collision Barn is seeking two skilled and experienced Collision Repair Technicians to join our growing team. This is a commissioned base position. We are looking for two motivated professionals with 3-6 years of collision repair experience who take pride in quality workmanship and can work efficiently while maintaining high standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all phases of collision repair on damaged vehicles
- Complete full vehicle disassembly and reassembly
- Structural and frame repairs using frame measuring and frame straightening equipment
- Welding and metal repair procedures
- Door skin replacements
- Quarter panel replacements
- Body panel alignment and fitment
- Expert body filler (Bondo) application and finishing
- Prepare repaired surfaces for the paint department
- Ensure repairs meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of auto body/collision repair experience
- Strong knowledge of frame repair and measuring systems
- Proficient in welding and structural repairs
- Experience with door skin and quarter panel replacement
- Excellent body filler and panel finishing skills
- Ability to identify repair procedures and complete repairs independently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
We are also hiring for an auto body prepper, porter, and buffer.
Prepper:
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding to remove old paint, rust, and surface imperfections.
- Apply body fillers to dents and scratches and sand them smooth.
- Mask and tape areas not to be painted (windows, trim, lights).
- Clean and degrease surfaces to ensure paint adhesion
- Apply primers and sealers as required.
- Inspect surfaces for quality and consistency before painting.
- Maintain and clean tools and equipment used for prepping.
Porter:
- Assist customers with their vehicles, including parking cars, retrieving, and moving cars within the premises.
- Safely drive vehicles to designated areas while adhering to all traffic regulations and maintaining caution at all times.
- Conduct thorough inspections of customer vehicles for any damages, dents, or scratches, and accurately record their condition.
- Wash, clean cars, and vacuum vehicles to maintain their appearance and prepare them for the repair process.
- Collaborate with the repair technicians and provide support by delivering parts and tools as needed.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the shop area, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment following proper safety rules.
Buffer:
- Perform auto body buffing and polishing to restore vehicles' exterior finish to its original luster.
- Use specialized tools and equipment to carefully remove imperfections, scratches, and blemishes from the vehicle's surface.
- Ensure all surfaces are properly prepared for buffing by cleaning, sanding, and masking as required.
- Apply appropriate compounds and polishes to achieve a smooth, glossy finish on various types of vehicle surfaces.
- Inspect and assess the condition of vehicles to determine the extent of buffing required.
- Match factory paint textures and remove imperfections in painted panels.
- Collaborate with the team of painters and estimators to ensure a timely completion of projects and maintain a high standard of workmanship.
